The plague column, surrounded by a low metal fence, in the main square between the Town Hall front and the parish church, was erected in 1710 as a token of gratitude that the plague epidemic in 1679-1680 spared the town of Lomnice. The appearance of the plague column in Lomnice is unique in this country.
