The house of burgomaster and burgher Ondřej Řepa of Greiffensdorff was built in 1563 as a three-storey residence in the style of Tuscan Renaissance, with arcaded loggias projecting out before the house front.

The house was built for burgher and burgomaster Ondřej Řapa of Greiffensdorff in 1563, as a three-storey residence in the style of Tuscan Renaissance with arcaded loggias projecting from the façade. In 1755 it passed into the possession of the Kattauer family, and a hereditary post office was established in it in 1787. Russian army commander general Suvorov slept one night in it in 1800 on his last journey back to St Petersburg, and during the Napoleonic wars (in 1813) its owner had the honour to host tsar Alexander I. The hereditary post office was abolished in the second half of the 19th century, with only the name "Old Post Office" kept in its memory by the house.
