Distribution transformer station - Jiráskova Street - Kadaň
Jiráskova Kadaň, 432 01
The transformer station at the Shooting Range was built in 1908, with four other structures of similar purpose in different parts of Kadaň. It supplied the adjacent Shooting Range complex, where electricity was used for lighting of the theatre and dance hall, restaurant, bowling alley and shooting range, then with hand-painted targets. The station transformed power from 3x5000 V to 3x220 V, and was equipped with a measuring panel, switches and fuses. It was used until the 1950´s when its capacity ceased to suffice the increased electricity demand.
