Masarykovo náměstí 110/64
Jihlava, 586 01
The church, constructed by the Italian builder Jacopo Brascha, boasts 2 unique Gothic sculptures - the Pieta from the late 14th century, ranked among the fine Bohemian madonnas, and the Crucified - known as the Přemyslid Cross - a statue from the mid-14th century (currently not in the church). The vast ceiling fresco is by Karel Töpper from 1717, the Baroque carved pulpit is the work of Tobias Süssmayer. The church is part of a vast Jesuit complex which was gradually built at a corner of the square on the site of former 23 burgher houses.
Monument normally closed to the public.
