The villa at the corner of Zlatá and V Luzích Streets was designed in 1929 by young architect Rudolf Günter for Fritz and Olga Schneider. The house was approved for residence on 7 April 1930, and the Schneider family with children and a maid moved in. In the output of architect Günter, who was then working his way to the peak of his career, this villa represents an interesting transition from traditional to modern forms. In 1945 the villa was confiscated, passed into the possession of the state, and housed first a day nursery and later on was used as housing for foster parents and their charges. Insensitive structural alterations were unfortunately made in this period. In 2012 the villa was purchased from the Liberec Regional Authority by a private owner who is now gradually restoring it, together with the garden, to the original condition.
