Together with Veselý Kopec and Svobodné Hamry, the Betlém (Bethlehem) area in the centre of Hlinsko is part of the Vysočina complex of rural architecture, in 1995 declared Folk Architecture Monument Reserve. The unique timbered and masonry houses built in the 18th and 19th centuries were inhabited by craftsmen, e.g. a weaver, toy manufaturer or shoemaker. Visitors will get an idea of their way of life, the tours are complemented with fringe programmes on themes like Christmas and Easter customs etc.
