The Town Hall is a dominant building in Husovo Square. Its present pseudo-Baroque appearance dates from 1903, when it was completely restyled to the design by local native František Coufal. Another extensive development of the complex was completed in September 1998, when a modern wing with partly glazed walls was added, thus closing the entire Town Hall block again. A nice arcaded atrium with a historic well in the middle originated in the courtyard. One of the most impressive parts of the Town Hall is its ceremonies hall with an interesting ceiling featuring small statues and rich ornamentation, the main motifs being trilobites, which are the most frequent fossils found in the Beroun area.
