At the beginning of its existence, the imitation of a medieval castle on an elevation (557 m above sea level) known as Kovadlina (Anvil) was called Hohenhasburg. Liberec manufacturer Heinrich Liebieg had it built in 1900-1901 to provide visitors of the town and the Jizerské Mountains with a place where they could refresh themselves. Its appearance changed several times, and in the end only the pentalateral tower survived. It fell into disrepair and stayed so from 1999 till its reconstruction in 2007-2013, after which it was reopened and today again serves tourists as a restaurant.
