Town Hall tower with exposition The Primeval Times of Uničov Ditrict

Masarykovo nám. 1
Uničov, 783 91

Uničov Town Hall, originally a medieval building from the second half of the 14th century or the early 15th century. Several alterations wiped off its original Gothic style. The tower, added on the north-east corner, was gradually raised to 45 metres and received a watchman´s gallery. A chapel, now used as a ceremonies hall, was attached on the west side in the 17th century, and a massive roofed staircase adorned the east side in the 18th century. The Town Hall was remodelled to its present pseudo-Renaissance style at the end of the 19th century. It is now the seat of the Municipality.
