The chateau was built in the 16th century, adaptations were made in the 2nd half of the 17th and early 19th centuries. The moated complex of oblong shape was originally fortified. The two-storey structure of U-shaped ground plan in the front half, with two corner bastions, has a burnt-tile lean-to roof. The chateau houses a Firefighting Museum.
