The archdecanal Church of St Anthony the Great is considered the oldest masonry structure in the town. Its mention in a historic document is the first relating to Liberec. The construction of the three-aisle church in Gothic style was completed in November 1587, and originally there was only an altar inside it. The interior space is divided by two rows of octolateral columns without capitals, smoothly passing into the vault. Of great value is the organ. The church was remodelled in neo-Gothic style, and is the most dominant structure in the historic centre of Liberec.
