In the late 19th century Liberec underwent many reconstructions. No wonder that the local industrialist Theodor Liebieg decided to purchase houses and convert them into a family residence of a great worth. In 1897 he had a new two-storey house built, which, after further reconstruction, received the appearance of a chateau dominated by a quadrilateral tower - a typical example of Romanticism - with a high roof. Particularly remarkable are the stonemasonry elements. The south part of the house is ended with a high three-tier gable.
