The monumental neo-Renaissance structure, then housing a school, once was the most impressive building far and wide. The largest among the collections of the Ústí n. L. Municipal Museum (founded in 1876) are the natural science ones, documenting mainly the nature of North West Bohemia, the Central Bohemian Uplands and the Ore Mountains. Also noteworthy are the military, numerous technological, visual arts and crafts collections. General overhaul of the building was completed in 2010.
